Members in attendance at the meeting will vote on the candidates in the election.

Peggy Munroe – Officer Position: Treasurer
Peggy has been a regular volunteer for several years with the club. She was Volunteer Coordinator for the DRC Half in 2007. Peggy is just completing her first year on the DRC Board as the Assistant Treasurer. She has spent this year taking on more and more of the treasurer duties and does a great job of managing the club’s finances.
Roxanne Olvera – Officer Position: Assistant Treasurer
Roxanne moved from San Antonio to Dallas in the spring of 2006 and joined the DRC a year later when joining the club’s first training program. Roxanne has served as a Pace Leader for the DRC Training Program in both Spring and Fall 2008 sessions. Roxanne will be a Pace Leader for the upcoming Spring 2009 season and has been active as part of the planning committee for the Spring Training Program. In 2008, Roxanne additionally volunteered at several monthly races throughout the year, at packet pickup for the DRC Half, and at For the Love of the Lake Shoreline Cleanup as a representative of DRC.
In addition to DRC, here are other non-profits and running organizations Roxanne has been involved with:
- Ran with Team in Training in the fall/winter of 2006.
- Trained with the Danskin Triathlon training programs in San Antonio (2005) and Dallas (2006).
- Was Co-Captain of her San Antonio law firm’s cycling team for the MS150 Bike to the Beach in the summer/fall of 2005. She planned cycling training rides on the weekends and fundraising events for my team.
- Served on the planning committee for the Arthritis Foundation’s Arthritis Walk in the spring of 2007.
Steve Johnson - Officer Position: Assistant Secretary
Steve has been very involved with the club the last two years. Managing the 8 Aid Stations for the DRC Half Marathon is a huge job. After the last aid station manager moved out of state in 2006, Steve volunteered to coordinate the aid stations and has created a wonderful race experience for thousands of runners in the last three years (2006, 2007, and 2008). He was also the Aid Station Manager for the 2007 and 2008 White Rock N Roll 5 Mile events. Steve was the Race Director for the June 2008 DRC race, the Bloomin’ 4 Mile.
Lisa-Kay Pierotti – Officer Positions: Membership Director, Vice President
Lisa-Kay joined the DRC Board at the beginning of 2008 as Membership Director. This is a volunteer position that takes a lot of hours preparing and sending membership packets to new members, accurately maintaining new memberships and membership renewals in our database, and answering all general club email inquiries. She has done a great job to stay on top of this as the club has grown by about 1,000 members in the last year. Lisa-Kay is also a regular volunteer at DRC monthly races, was the Volunteer Coordinator for the DRC Half in 2008, and coordinated the DRC booth at the 2008 Dallas White Rock Marathon Expo.
Linda Wills – Officer Position: Assistant Membership Director, Assistant Secretary
Linda joined the DRC for the Fall 2007 Training program. Upon completion, she returned as a pace leader for the Spring 2008 and the Fall 2008 Training programs. She has served as a volunteer for several of the DRC monthly club races and took on a large role for the DRC Half 2008 as the Packet Pickup Team Lead. She is also on the planning committee for the Spring 2009 Training program.
Chris Stratton – Officer Position: Training Program Director
Chris Stratton has been involved in the training program since it began in Fall 2007. He served as a Pace Leader for the Fall 2008 and was on the planning committee for the Spring 2009 Training Program.
Stephanie Hill – Officer Position: Assistant Training Program Director
Stephanie was a Pace Leader for the Fall 2008 Training Program. She was on the planning committee for the Spring 2009 Training Program. She is also in charge of the DRC-provided Official Pace Team for the White Rock Half Marathon.
Jason McGhee – Officer Position: Race Management Director
Jason was the Race Director for the DRC The Loop 15K/5K for 2007 and 2008 and has been an active volunteer at the races. He has served in the last month on the race planning committee for the January 3 DRC Frigid 10K/5K and has volunteered to direct that race.
Alise Cortez – Officer Position: Assistant Race Management Director
Alise was the Race Director for the 2008 DRC Tal Morrison Classic 15K/5K. She has also been an active member of Lakewood Service League for 4 years, the last two years of which she spent on the Board chairing one of our three annual fund raisers called the Walk Wag & Run. Attracting more than 3,500 participants, this event has a 5K and 10K race, a 3K dog walk and agility course, and a kids fair, all to promote healthy family fun. In both 2007 and 2008, she worked with DRC to help us promote the club to those in attendance at that event. Her experiences with both the Walk Wag and Run race and helping with DRC races will make her a great asset to the Race Management team.
Meredith Levin – Officer Position: Event Director
Meredith has participated in the DRC Training Programs since they were started in Fall 2007. She participated in the DRC trip to Oklahoma City last April to run the half marathon, and she volunteered to set up and help man the DRC booth at the Taste of Uptown this October.
Carin Rinkenberger – Officer Position: Charity Liaison
In addition to being a DRC member who has volunteered at several races throughout the year, Carin is active with several non-profits, giving her good exposure into how other charities work. She works with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Community Leaders at the Service of Society, and is training as a Victims' Outreach crisis hotline volunteer. She is a former consultant where she was focused on efficiency improvements, which can help streamline some organizational processes. She also has a financial background helpful for evaluating requests from charities for cash donations and assisting in budgeting discussions.
Sylvia Pas – Officer Position: Volunteer Coordinator
Sylvia has helped coordinate the kids’ crafts and 1K race at the DRC monthly races for the past year. Sylvia is an active club volunteer at races and has served as the Administration Team Lead for the DRC Half in both 2007 and 2008.
Veronica Soto – Officer Position: Sponsorship
Veronica joined the DRC Board at the beginning of 2008, working on general club sponsorships throughout the year. Veronica has also been an active volunteer for many years, including director of the August monthly club race for almost a handful of years.
