Training buddy Angela Brewer had this to say: "Arshad was a wonderful person and an amazing runner. We trained together and ran the DRC Half last year, and he had just decided to run the OKC Half. We ran together Wednesday night and talked about it, and I believe that was his last run. I am going to miss him a lot."
The visitation and funeral were held Sunday, April 13. Arshad and his mother were buried in Denton at The Denton Muslim Cemetery.
